Where to get Windows XP professionally reinstalled?

Does anyone know a place in Central/Sheung Wan that can do this? Any idea of cost and how long it will take? I don't want to leave my computer with anyone (remember Edison Chen??), and want to wait for them to do it and then take it with me.

Can't find original install DVD at the mo, so assume I've lost it.


I have a back up of my files.

- Do you have the original sticker with your license key on the computer? If so, you have an OEM license (and cannot use a "retail copy" of the O/S with that license). You should call the manufacturer and ask for them to send you the recovery disk(s).

- If it is a custom job and you bought the O/S separately ("retail license") but cannot find the license key, you should contact the shop that made it.

- If you don't have the original license key, you will probably need to buy a new copy, although you might try calling Microsoft first. They may be able to do something if you have the existing install at hand.


Once you have the O/S or at least the key, there are plenty of shops in the Wan Chai Computer Centre that could do it (not quite Central/Sheung Wan I know).


I would also be happy to provide this service in your home or office. I have 18 years of professional experience with computers. PM me if interested. Depending on the computer and how many programs you want to install, I would say 3-5 hours is a reasonable estimate.
