Oasis concert

It it me or was the sound really off? To me it seemed too quiet, even though I was right at the front, all I could hear was people singing badly, out of tune and most didn't even know the lyrics except for wonderwall. It was even worse when I moved back a little to see if the sound was better there. Also everytime Liam said something between song it was very muffled, do you think this was done on purpose? Someone tried to unvail a tibetan flag but thankfully it was soon snatched off them.

The sound at Nine Inch Nails was much better.

Went to see Rod Stewart last month and it was the quietest concert I have ever been to. You could still hear people around you talking & singing. The sound level was definitely much lower than any other concert I have ever been to ... you can't usually hear a thing when you get out as it was so loud. Maybe the organisers have been told to lower the volume??

I found Liams voice 'barely understandable', Noel was much better and clearer, perhaps Liams mike was muffled to stop some of his bad language on stage offending people. Mustn't forget most of their music we listen to on disc is done in a recording studio, where voices are dubbed to sound better, and they are usually different 'live. I also thought that Liam could have had a better outfit than the fishermans wear he had on.

As for the Rod Sewart concert, I thought the sound there was fine, didn't get disturbed by others talking and singing, maybe you were unlucky with your place in the arena!

I'm not complaining about other people singing at concerts ... I was one of them ... it's just that you can't usually hear other people's voices so clearly over the sound of the performer. Quite a few other people I know also commented about it being quiet, and I'm sure I remember there was some reference to it the SCMP in the write up the following day. There again, maybe I just imagined it :(
