Hi... desperate mum needs a baby walker... the kind that looks like one of those baby jumpers that you hang in the door way, but it has a handle on top so that you can "walk" the baby around.
My 8-month old enjoys being walked around the room all day long but she's too young to support herself. We are all getting sore backs!
I can't seem to find any shops or online that sells it... does anyone know where to get one?
Thanks!

The reason you might not be able to find one is that many pediatricians (at least in the US) strongly recommend you don't use one. There are a lot of injuries from baby walkers. Some are from falling down stairs and some are from baby going very fast and bumping into walls or toppling the walker when they run into something.
You could just say no to baby if you have had enough for the time being.

Hi,
Yes, you are thinking of a different kind of baby walker - the one on wheels. But the one I'm looking for looks just like the lindam door bouncer. So it has material that goes between the baby's legs, and two straps going up to a handle, which the parent holds onto the handle and walks the baby around.
Heheheh... yes, we tell her 'no'... but when we see the joy on her face as she "walks" around, it's sooo cute...

Oh, yes now I see what you are talking about. I have seen those, but not in any shops here I'm afraid.

Been there. :) Still, learning to be denied is a good lesson in any case. Or at least learning about "ok, but this is the last time".

You're absolutely right. We don't want to create a spoilt child! And unfortunately grandma gives in to baby's every whimper!

Grandparents are lovely and terrible at the same time. You HAVE to teach them. My friend's theory is that they simply forgot what it was like. I tend to agree with him. ;)
