Will be moving back to Canada by fall this year,
after being in H.K. for decade, have accmulated
fair amount ,feel overwhelmed about shipping, no idea where to start.
Does anybody have any reference,
for good, reliable, resonable shipping company
which arranges your belongings door to door.
If you/family or friends have used or are in process
of dealing with a good company, would you be so
kind to answer. Any tips as to what is involved, would be highly appreciated.

my sister moved back to Canada a few years back with quite alot of furniture. she used Shenckers and was very satisfied.

one thing that she found though, was that many pieces of wood furniture, which were beautiful in our humid climate here, dried , shrank and cracked severely upon arrival in the dry winter climate in Canada...obv. the wood had not been fully dried here prior to production...

funbobby, very informative, especially the part where we need to be aware of any furniture made of wood shrinking & cracking due to climate differences.
Will certainly keep that in mind. Thanks.

Flintstone, I'm going through the same process at the moment. I suggest you do what I've done - contact every company you can, and get them all to come round and give you an estimate. I've had about five come to my place so far, and I have another half dozen to go. Look in the SCMP, on this website, and in Dollarsaver to get all the names.
