Frustrated with Constant Construction in Mid-levels

Is anyone else concerned with the noise/air pollution in Hong Kong. We just moved from the US and am shocked at how noisy it is. We have a baby and were advised to move to the mid-levels, which I feel was a big mistake. I can't walk out of my door without a drill in my baby's ear, either outside or apartments being renovated next door. It's just out of control. My baby has a mild cough and we need to move ASAP.

Please ,I need suggestions where to move since I can't take this much longer. I need quiet and low air pollution...and a nice apartment. Does this exist in Hong Kong and if so, then where? I find that brokers have lied to us over and over again about where the so-called best place to live is.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!

do you have to stay on the island or can move out to the new territories?

There are plenty of places, it's just whether you are willing to put up with the additional commute time.

Repulse Bay should also be on your list. Much calmer. Not "out in the country" exactly, but very nice for small kids.

HK is a noisy place, no doubt about it.

Weird advice indeed. Midlevels is not typically classified as family friendly.
