Speeding = Court?

For that speed it will most likely be a fixed penalty and some points.


Just return the Notice with the information required and within a couple of weeks you'll receive a notice with a fine (usually $450) and how many points you get.


Make sure you pay within 30 days or they can double the fine.

weird.. i got a fine for 20kph over limit and just received the fixed penalty, no Notice of Intended Prosecution.

No not weird. I actually received the same, an NOIP for 99km/h in an 80km/h zone. Seems that is how the NT police operate. The fixed penalty notice came afterwards.

I hope this is not late, last time this happen to me i had to go to court too, and the judge gave e a penalty. around 500
