I think it might be time to re-gas the a/c in my apartment, but all my units are split-type, with the compressors outside. Re-gassing window units is easy, but how would I get the splits done? How would the a/c guys reach the compressors? I'm just afraid i might be told that scaffolding needs to be erected to get this done...

never had a problem with our National (division of Panasonic) split ac's...is there any way you can loosen one end of the drip tray and wedge it up to create more of a slope?

Had the same problem (no idea what the brand is) but have been told that this is because the "exit pipe" hole through the wall has been wrongly drilled to be striaght, rather than on an angle facing down.
Just about to get a new one, so would appreciate information from anyone who has had this issue and managed to get it fixed.
