A friend asked me where you can buy Levi jeans since she is leaving HK soon. I don't know the answer so can anyone help me on this one.
Many thanks.

Thanks for your reply here is the questions again for your comments.
I agree on your views that there are still lots of trouble ahead and unsolved, and thanks for the information and views you share here.
I would like to ask what currencies you would recommend to protect against the danger of HK$ pegged to USD. Also regarding gold if everyone is buying gold (as recommended by bankers and other financial experts) will it drive the price up and will it still have the effect to hedge against the (expected) inflation which is coming?
When will the inflation hit?
Appreciate your input and thanks!

There is a Levi store at the outlet mall at Tung Chung. Not sure where there are others in HK.

There are numerous Levi stores in Hong Kong but I found they are all way too expensive, even compared to Europe. If your friend lives in the US don't even bother looking in HK.
I don't know about the outlet in Tung Chung though, some outlets have good prices, maybe I should go check there too.
Starbucks2, how much do Levis cost in the outet (501)?

Hi magakgtr
Not sure on prices as I haven't shopped there. Just noticed it as it is right by the door. Agree with levi prices in the US - very very cheap.

There is a shop in Wanchai that sells Levi jeans ... (I think it's Johnston Road??) not far from McDonalds. They have a big selection of Levi's, cost is around $800-$900 a pair, and they will also alter the length if need be ... they make a very good job of it too ... looks just like how jeans are turned up!

Is it just me or does $800 - $900 for a pair of Levis sound expensive??! Over US$100?
Maz - I would have thought they'd be cheaper than that in Tung Chung.
