Does anyone know if the 44R bus goes to Central? I know it currently runs between South Bay road and repulse bay road. What is the frequency? Every 10 min?

Does not go to Central -- it's a shuttle between South Bay and Repulse Bay, from where you can get buses to Central, Causeway Bay, Wanchai, etc.

As mentioned 44R goes from South Bay (or is it Middle Bay only?) to Repulse Bay (opposite the Repulse Bay building garage entrance). Basically it goes back and forth on South Bay Road with a small stretch of Repulse Bay Road.

The frequency is about 3/hour most of the day. There's a schedule posted at the Repulse Bay stop IIRC.

GreenValleys, the 44R is a "private" shuttle so it's not listed on the bus company site.

Thanks! Can anyone use it? Since it's a private shuttle?

Anyone can use it. They even take Octopus.

In this case, I meant "private" as in "not run by a mainstream bus company". It's probably run by some association of the buildings on South Bay Road. Just like the Parkview shuttle, which is also open to the public (as in there is no restriction on ticket sales).

AxpatGuy, where does one buy tickets for the Parkview shuttle? If one is not a resident, and wanted to use the shuttle to go from Central to Parkview, can you pay on the bus?

I have a route correction for 44R. It does NOT go all the way to South Bay. It goes from Grand Garden ("above" Middle Bay), past Ruby Court, then along South Bay Road, terminating at the Repulse Bay building.

"AxpatGuy, where does one buy tickets for the Parkview shuttle?"

The Parkview reception.

"If one is not a resident, and wanted to use the shuttle to go from Central to Parkview, can you pay on the bus?"

No. You'd have to have a ticket already. Note that I haven't used the bus in 18 months, so this info may be out of date.
