I would love to find a hairdresser in Hong Kong who can give me a makeover -- a cut that will make my face look its best but that also respects my hair type and my lifestyle. All the hairdressers I've seen these past few years seem to lack ideas -- unless it's to suggest styles that would require lots of chemical treatment to work (perming, colouring -- no good for me because I swim a lot). All I want is a cut that boosts my facial features and that I can style easily by myself. Any suggestions?

It sometimes is difficult to find a Stylist who has the enthusiasm to look at someone objectively and suggest various options that would compliment and bring out the best features of a woman.
It is equally important for the woman to be open to ideas and try something new. A professional Stylist should be able to give you what you want, whilst making it easy to manage.
My best advise is to try various salons and work with a Stylist you feel comfortable with. One other thing to keep in mind, it might take a couple of visits to achieve a workable solution based on the condition and style of your hair at present.
There are many web sites that you can research on, that give information on face and hair types, or even try virtual style programs using your own image.
Colours and perms should only compliment or in some cases: build a foundation to a style, once again listen to advise with an open mind, but walk away if you feel bullied.
