Mosquito repellent?

Recently, we have been plagued with mosquitoes visit every night. ( Some construction work nearby and we live on low floors)

Already baby does not sleep too well, in addition to this new problem, having any decent sleep at night is virtually impossible.

Please any good suggestions for a safe and effective repellent for baby to use in the room?

I am thinking of those electronic ones or the mosquito lamp, already tried the patches which were useless and TOO strong smelling and will not want to use sprays for long term....

Please help with your methods and what brands you use!

I agree about not using anything in the room. Just too strong. A citronella plant does help though.

A fan is quite effective since mosquitoes have a hard time flying in the wind.

You should dress him/her in long sleeve and long trouser pajamas, then adjust temperature accordingly.

The repellent we use for our kids is "RID". Sold at Bumps to Babes.

We used to use plug in ones when it was just us but not sure if these are "deemed" unsafe for babies.

I strongly recommend one brand called Buds for Baby. This brand is preservative free and ECOCERT organic certified.

I got this mosquito repellent from Mother Organic in Central recently and I have to say, this is the best one I have ever tried ! ( I live in a house in N.T and my whole family has been suffereing from mosquito bites for long time) Their website is www.mother-organic.com.

See if you can find out how they are getting in. Put screens on the windows and on the inside of the airflow of your AC unit. If you know anyone coming from India, Odomos is wonderful and safe and gentle for babies.

The garden place opposite Ocean Park carries them. They don't know the name in English though so it helps to know what you are looking for. http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/72305/

I live in Nt and use Citronella candle outside the door, this prevent mosquito flying in everytime we open the door. For outdoor, I use the spray-on from Boots. Not a single mosquito comes closer. only thing is you need to get it down from UK. This is not available in HK.
