Travelling back to Europe this year, and not sure whether to fly business or premium economy with the kids. My 4 year old is fine and can amuse herself, but a bit concerned that I won't have great access/visibility with my 2 year old in BA or CX's business class.
If premium eco, how have people found this and would you rate BA or Virgin in this class?
Thanks!

Even if price were no object, I don't think you would want to fly CX's new business class with a 2 year old unless you wanted to worry about your child the entire flight. On the other hand, I hear good things about British Airway's Britax car seats. Don't have any insight into Virgin.

Agreed on CX. Flew the old business config recently at that was fine, but those flying coffins offer no visibility and you'd end up fretting the whole flight. I'll look into BA's car seats, thanks for your help :-)

I flew BA with my 18 month old for Christmas in economy, baby cot areas in the planes are fine for the family, particularly if you get a row for all of you, seats are a tad uncomfortable though - if you are looking at Premium Economy, for get it, better to get the two for one business class deal.
I'm flying again back to the UK for 7 weeks with the family with BA, Virgin do not get it on luggage allowance and families. Cannot comment on CX has have not flown to the UK with them for a while, but would do so if their cost was lower than BA.
Hope this helps a little.

Thanks for your replies... decided to do BA as the business fares for Xmas were very competitive. Apparently the best seats for travelling together are downstairs and the two in the middle section of 4. They face the same way and you therefore have better access to your child. Two parents can travel with 2 kids in 2 lots of 2.
Agree on premium when travelling with kids. Worth either sucking up the cost for business or sucking up the seats and going eco and have fun spending the difference later!
