Comments on which of these companies to go with for a removal within Hong Kong (same building)? Thanks.

I personally prefer Crown... they were very quick... their only problem is the handlers took more than two hours of lunch break :)

Much appreciated if you can support Santa Fe as they have made this site possible by sponsoring us for over 10 years
Had lunch with a friend a couple of weeks ago and they handle his local move in Happy Valley for a very reasonable price - quick and efficient

If you move into the same building, I recommend Good Care or Baltrans. They are much cheaper (about 50% cheaper) & the service is 100% the same = super professional.
I used both for personal local moves & I did not see any difference between them & Allied Pickfords, which I used when coming from Germany.
Allied Pickfords is considered similar to Santa Fe or Crown....
I hope it helps.

sante fe are very good. had a big move with them - 300 boxes, not one thing damaged or broken. amazing!

There a plenty of operatives out there. Get some quotes. I found the Sante Fe assessor very professional and I liked the sales pitch on quality wrapping etc but they were twice as expensive as the others (all international outfits). This was in part due to their charging structure which got steeper the closer you got to the moving date and we'd left it pretty late.

The handlers of Crown were very good, careful and efficient.
However, the company claimed that the volume exceeded 50% of their estimate and they charged 50% on top of their estimate. Only after weeks (months) of email exchange with the general management they agreed on their own fine print which stipulates that they are entitled to +/- 15%.

Honestly I think you'll be happy with either.

We've just done a small office move this week at very short notice and used UniGlobe Removals (found them in the SCMP Classified section) and they were BRILLIANT. Apparently they specialise in local and international house moves and I would recommend them every bit as much as Santa Fe (who I've also used before and thought were excellent, but I should imagine UniGlobe charges considerably less than Santa Fe's current rates).
We liaised with Chris who speaks excellent English. He arrived punctually with his very willing, practical, proactive and polite crew and took charge organising everything in spite of the chaotic scenario. He packed and unpacked us so well that we were up and running at our new premises within about five hours, with everything (including all our many individual files) in all the right places. All was left clean and tidy; I noticed the crew even took the trouble to clear and sweep up the mess that electricians and plumbers had left behind earlier. As well as their overall efficiency and good rate, it was small things like that which makes me reckon they looked after us really well.
Chris's number is 9841 2121 /3907 0233.

I would summaries the experience with Crown Relocations HK as paying for a first class air ticket and receiving less than an economy seat experience. They cannot explain their charges properly , including the detais behind their insurance program. The Crown contacts are definitely not client focus, giving lots of excuses on why they cannot deliver what they had promised previously, e.g. Why they need more than 1 day to pack and unpack for a 800 sq ft apartment. Charge was more than US10 k from HK to Singapore.
