bought a small portable TV from UK here and would like to give it to kids , so far all i get is a blue screen using the ariel that I used in UK ..no reception.

Is it the TV or can you get the local channels without using cable/digital reception ..would using a 'rabbit' type ariel help

any ideas ..before I chuck out the TV ..what a waste

You can't just get programmes using the built in aerial, you have to get a cable and plug it into the aerial socket in your apartment.

but can I get local channels e.g Pearl using just the ariel , I dont need more than local HK channels for this TV

sorry bit confused ...can a get local channels just using an antenna arial without the plug in connection

Yes you can use a UK tv here. If you don't have the television socket in the room you want to use the tv in, then you'll have to get one put in.
