My kid eats toothpaste!

ORIGINAL POST

My 3 yr old refuses to spit out even super minty toothpaste, and always swallows it. I used to buy an "edible" one but I can't find it anymore. I tried brushing with no toothpaste, but don't think it really works very well. Any suggestions? help!

Just make sure you use a toddler/child toothpaste, as it is low in fluoride, and it's ok.

Yup, my son loves toothpaste too. I have to wrestle it off him at teeth-brushing time!

I buy an 'edible' toothpaste at CitySuper's comission-based health section (I think it's called Healthquest). There are a couple of different brands. There's also Tom's of Maine baby/child toothpaste which is sold in the main part of CitySuper.

I'm pretty sure I've also seen it in Eugene Club (baby store). I also saw a much cheaper Japanese brand in ParknShop that looked to be the same thing but I've never used it.
