Commute from Discovery Bay

Can someone please tell me how long it would take to commute from Discovery Bay to Wan Chai Thanks

There are also many buses that pick up outside Pier 3 that go through Wan Chai - particularly the No. 2 bus. I find it much quicker than walking all the way to the MTR inside the IFC building.

I used to commute by ferry also, and i never read so much in my life. As a mother of 2 at the time, it was bliss! Very true about wind down time, too. I had regular office hours, so caught the same ferry every night and enjoyed the sunset, which is certainly a bonus over the MTR!

If heading home from work after a hard day, I'd be getting on the ferry all stressed and annoyed and looking forward to complaining to my husband about a lousy day, and get off the ferry very relaxed and soothed by the rocking of the boat and the sunset. My husband never knew what the ferry did for him!!

Annoying/loud people - there's always a spot in which you can sit to avoid them as they tend to sit in the same area all the time. Usually someone with hearphones and a book is sending a very clear "leeme alone" signal.


Having said that, I wouldn't go back to ferry commuting, but that's really because I have been spoiled by the convenience of instant rides home offered by taxis when I can't be bothered with buses...
