I just moved into my rental apartment last month, which I found via a property agent. After moving in, the neighbours said they were surprised that we moved in at this time as there would likely be an en bloc sale of the whole apartment. This was not mentioned by the agent nor the landlord.
The results of the en bloc would be out next month. My lease is the standard 2y contract with the option to break by either party after 13 months.
I am at a loss of what to do so any advice or insights would be very much appreciated!
Some questions:
1) If the landlord sells the property, would the buying company automatically become my new landlord?
2) What kind of compensation would be available? Moving costs? I locked in at a good price and may not be able to get the same price for that size now..
Thanks! anyone?
