Everyday, I am stumped about what to cook. I have a two-year old and a newborn so I would like to try to eat healthy.
My wonderful helper is quite clueless when it comes to cooking, and needs to be told what to make for every meal. If I don't give her instructions, all she makes is rice and one stir-fried vegetable dish.
Is there anyone out there who does a weekly menu planning and is willing to share it? So that I can have my helper just copy that? We eat anything and everything.
Thanks.

Hi Widemoose,
If use a book from Australia, called the CSIRO total wellbeing diet. It has 6 weeks of menus and you can have in a rotation. Its not necessarily used for dieting purposes but it takes the headache out of menu planning. Good Luck

Hi I do a menu for 4 weeks and give to my helper, I just used an old calender for a month and wrote down what we ate everyday, then I kinda knew what to plan! just do an excel chart and do lunch and dinner and I did it buy alternating seafood/fish, red meat, poultry twice (as no Sunday) and then go to www.taste.com.au and look for menus! (u can input "chicken" or whatever and heaps come up. Hope that helps you :)

I'll try the CSIRO, which I hope I can find in a bookstore. I like that I don't have to plan it myself as both my helper and I don't have much intuition for food. Also, thanks for the website tip!

Although I don't have a family to take care of, but I think it's very interesting to do weekly menu, I sugegst you to buy the "susy wong" cooking DVD, she demonstrate how you can prepare 3 dishes in an hour, supposely a meal, therefor it usually include meat, fish and veggie. I'm sure you'll have lots of inspiration from it, but it's in cantonese, not sure if you speak the language.
