I want to buy a motorbike and drive it to work.
Is my european license alright to drive with or do i need to take another test? What are approx costs per year to have it.

You can drive on your European license for 3 months, then you have to get an HK license. This is valid for car or bike. For most Euro countries you don't need to take a test. You just do the paperwork and convert. The cost, from memory, is about 1100 Honkies total and the HK license is valid for 10 years.
Info can be found here: http://www.td.gov.hk/licensing_service/index.htm
You need to check form "TD63A" from here http://www.td.gov.hk/public_services/licences_and_permits/vehicle_and_driving_licences/driver_licensing/index.htm . It lists the countries from where a license is acceptable for conversion.
