Does anybody know how to remove those plastic security tags that are quite often on items?
I bought a handbag last year from an outlet store in New York and put it away until last weekend. When I went to use it the other day, I noticed that inside the inner pocket lining was one of those plastic tags.
I went to the handbag company's store in the Landmark today to see if they could remove it and they said they don't have the machine here to remove it.
I'm a bit worried that if I use pliers, it might damage the lining.
Any suggestions would be grateful.

I don't think it can be removed safely without the proper equipment. Same thing happened to a friend who tried to remove hers in her bedroom. She did remove it but it sprayed blue liquid over the bedroom linen, up the walls and ceiling resulting in added cost to have her bedroom repained and the lined stained forever.
If it is one of those security tags I would suggest you leave it in but it may send sensors/alarms off when you enter some shops!!

Yes, exactly, I don't want to set off sensor alarms when I'm shopping (which is more often than I should).

Is it one that requres the high pressure air machine to release the tag? If it is I think Seibu in Pacific Place have those security tags in the hand bags. They may be able to help you.

Yes, it's one of those. Thanks, I'll try Seibu.
