Imagine the the most nasty, threatening, petty awful landlord who seems to make it their life's goal to make everyone else unhappy. Well... that is my landlord
Basically I renegotiated my lease for a lower reent and on the day the rent was due they demanded the higher rent.
I gave two months notice and told them to keep my bond in liu of rent.
After harrassment and nasty emails I got a legal notice to say that if I don't pay the rent in three days they can come into my apartment.
Given the harrasement and threats made from this nasty individual I am 99% sure I would lose my 60K bond security deposit
And... I wouldn't put it past them to have guys with baseball bats at my door,
Do I have any options or rights in this situation?
What would you do if you were me (considering you do not want to lose 60K nor believe it right to give in to harassement and threats).

I understand what you are saying. We negotiated a decrease in rent from may. when the rent was due she insisted on the higher rent on that day.
Clearly she is not a person to honor her commitments. I have heard that (non technically) no one actually refunds the securtiy deposit.
Most decent landlords agree to accept the security deposit for the last two months. And if htey don't agree, it take more than two months for them to take action.
Is this the case?
I am basing my theory on heresay so I would like to know what my legal obligations are.
Does anyone know?
