I m looking to buy a watch, looking at the Rolex daytona oyster perpetual men, I m not a watch collector, can anyone tell me if this is worth to buy
price :approx 100 k . with discount less than 100 k

with that kind of cash, people suggest me to start with IWC instead, it could be a one time purchase for few years.

"worth"? Well, that's a hard concept. Unless you really know what you are doing, I wouldn't try to make money on watch collecting.
Buy the watch that makes you happy, whether this is Rolex or IWC or anything else.

Forget about discounts, unless you are buying the watch as an expensive gift.
Very few people will know the difference between a 100k rolex and a 50k rolex.
At the end of the day, you are either buying a time piece or a lifestyle statement. And some of those statements now have more negative values than before.
If it was stolen and you can afford to replace it then you obviosly have the kind of money that goes with the lifestyle.
If it was stolen and that would really hurt you, then you should consider why you want such a bauble.

"Affectations like multi-thousand $$ watches & "Personalised" registration plates - well - plain stupid in my book!"
Thanks for your "help". People have different interests. I am happy to spend HK$ 4500 on a nifty remote control. Many people find this silly. Different strokes. Accept it.
