Imagine the billions of HK$ lost on the whole of HK, is there any statistics to show this? Con not find any mention on the MPF website and this should be information available to the public can it be enforced by the ICAC?

First of all 2009 has not ended yet so i doubt this is your closing balance for 2009. More likely your balance for 31.12.08 or maybe for 31.03.09.
Secondly equity markets (especially in Aisa) are up some 45% + in the last few months so i reckon if you were able to establish a up to date current value from best serve for today then it will probably show your account much higher than it currently is.
As for 'guaranteed' funds stay clear. they are expensive and not that guaranteed.
In a couple of years the Hang Seng could be at 45,000+.
Would you be happy with that ???
