need help in buying diamond ring

I wanted to buy some diamond rings online from the site BLUE NILE, is it safe or not? and the site says the diamonds are certified by GIA so just wanted to check if anybody has bought it from BLUE NILE and is facing any kind of dissatisfaction or any problem with the setting, size or the diamond qlty .... pls do let me know....

and if its not a best idea to buy it from BLue nile than can you ladies suggest me some good jwellery stores.

bluenile is fantastic! i used it myself for THE ONE and it worked perfectly. quality is up to standard, with GIA certificate, all setting was as promised. so was very happy (so was she).


specific mentions is their customer service. i was on a very tight schedule before flight take off to the country where i wanted to propose. they tracked every single handover of the diamond (from their cutter to the guy who puts it into the girdle, to the packer, to the transporter, to the airline, to the stop over of the airline in tokyo, etc. just amazing.

they even arranged so that i could go to the fedex center at the airport to get the ring straight from the airplane when it landed. i got it, walked over to the passenger check in, checked in and flew off happily.


overall strong recommendation because of customer service, value/money, etc. if i am not mistaken they also give you the right to send it back (on your transportation cost) if you are not happy. that's great because it's the only disadvantage compared to a local shop where you can actually SEE IN REAL what you buy.


and by the way, i did extensive comparison of prices at my time and even the cheapest wholesellers in hk 'with special contacts in dubai & antwerp, bla bla bla' were at least 25-30% more expensive (usually 40% on average).

The cost of duties and taxes are already added and hidden to the prices of diamonds on bluenile, so you are paying for the taxes that you don't have to pay in HK.

Buy from Brands Off. It is worth and with GIA certificate.
