I've searched and googled, but I can't find any details about fireworks this year on July 1st. Does anyone know if fireworks are planned, or where I could call to find out?

i don't think there is one on 1 july.

the only time there was one in the last few years was in 2007 for the 10-year handover celebrations.

usually they are on 1 oct (national day) like in 2006 and 2008
