Hi,
I posted this in the medical forum first, but I thought maybe women who read this forum may have encountered the same issue.
I am wondering if anyone knows where men can get tested for STD's in Shanghai.
Being from the West getting checked regularly is routine, even when in a relationship.
My Chinese boyfriend is a bit resistant. Also one of his parents works at a hospital in the city in a high position and he doesn't want to go there or anywhere he will be recognized. Are there smaller health clinics or something similar in Shanghai?
I think I'll be able to persuade him to go if it's more anonymous.
I appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks!

There are many 'Men's Hospitals'. Most of them small private clinics, not state owned. I am sure it is within thier remit.
Alternatively he could pay the extra money and go to one of the Western medical centers for a test. Most of the doctors are expats, who would not know the Chinese doctors network, so unlikely he would be recognised.
Third choice.
Go to another city, I am sure Shenzhen has a big trade in STD clinics.
Try posting in the Living in Shanghai board and the Marriage and Relationships boards.
