Headset for VOIP calls

We use skype with a headset (speaker for each ear plus a mike - just like you see in pictures of call centres). The quality is great, which is probably mainly down to Skype but may also be due to the headset though skype seems to work fine with a pair of ipod speakers and the computer's internal mike.

Anyway, our headset seems to have broken - I suspect the wire has snapped. Any recommendations out there for a replacement? How about the bluetooth set ups with just one earphone? Are they any good or do you miss the stereo?

AXTP... you're the man on this site, what do you use, if you don't mind my asking?

I use a Philips with in-ear silicone buds and a clip on mike. About 160 at Foresoon (Wing Lok street or WCCC). Looks like a pair of high end iPod earphones with a dongle for the mike. Great sound. Just remember to clip the mike up to your collar or the other person won't hear you.

I also use a lot of speakerphone. The mike built into the Logitech cameras is very good.

Bluetooth is ok I guess. Never used it for Skype.

Thanks - you've reminded me I've got some MP3 earphones with a mike attached. I'll give that a go.
