Looking at getting an apt at the Bellagio in Sham Tseng. Any comments about the area in general or the estate in particular? Thanks.

lots of buses and minibuses, not a problem...we looked at buying at Bellagio, but found the building quality not very good (Wheelock/Wharf development) compared to SHK...for a complex only 5 years old, it seemed a bit rundown in the hallways/common areas...as mentioned, good gose, a PnS International, but not much else...Bellagio mall is still essentially empty

when I was a little girl my grandparents and great grand mother had a farm with pigs and chickes and paddy fields in Sham Tseng. The goose restaurants are the same as they were back then and that was a very very long time ago.

Its a lot different these days....not much help, but nothing like a bit of living history on a friday afternoon

Dear Chatterbox, we all lament the good ol' days and look back fondly of the places that bring back memories of dear ones. Urban development has been encroaching upon the idyllic countryside for so long that we barely remember what it once looked like. Thank goodness, the delicious goose has survived so far. It seems the villagers have never given up the fight judging from the protest banners outside the Lido Gardens.
