Is only Apple store going to sell on July 19th, or will it be available from 3 Network on that date as well? I'm surprised 3's website is not updated for 3GS at all.

Heard about the RED HOT BATTERIES? (Apple blames users)

read from review from newspaper that the phone is very hot while using Guess what? Apple is asking people to shut down the phone for cooling down!!!! Unbelievable! And there are bugs for the software too....In that case, i may opt for getting the G2 HTC Magic from Smartone, cos the $398 unlimited data use is very appealing!

That's true. I am also considering the apple 3gs, but now thinking to change my mind. Really think its dangerous if apple cannot solve the issue.

Apple products are typically of very high quality compared to most other products in the same market. However they are not perfect. Given Apple's obsession with small size (ultraslim and so forth) heat problems are not uncommon. Some of the Powerbooks had the same issue.

Not to worry, they typically solve it after a few months.

So shall I wait until they've solve the problem or simply get another model?

Depends how badly you want it and when. I don't have an iPhone (still too big for me) but certainly of all the touchy phones it is the one that most impresses me.

Here's a good roundup of iPhone alternatives: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2009/06/26/reviews_iphone_alternatives_roundup/
