You can use those "rewards dollars" (smile when you say it) to pay for groceries at Wellcome. Ask to "pay with octopus points". The cashier will ask you to touch your card and the balance will be deducted. Simple as that. You can use all or some points.
I'm sure there are other things you can do.

I think you can buy special products with them like the points in PNS, and maybe even use them for entry to Ocean Park etc, but I've just used mine against welcome shopping as I'm not sure where to find the info out either.
