How about trying the home broadband of Smartone? No installation needed, just simply plug in the socket will do. But where do you leave? Try to check the coverage before you join.

Thanks for all your advise.

I am think of the Smartone broadband as my working hours are really long. However, I heard from my colleagues that during rainy days or typhoon, the network will be unstable and I am unable to make phone calls.

Is it true?

Rainy days and typhoon shouldn't be matter because of the radio transmission has no impact by that. I do think about this product since the fee wasn't that expensive, may be should end the contract of my broadband and phone line. I'll stop by Smartone stores tomorrow, and see what they say about it.

My friend told me that if the connection is poor after installation, they can send technicians to check if there is any problem. If the problem cannot be solved, you can asked for refund.

Think this promise give us some sort of guarantee.

For me, I am using the wireless modem of Smartone. So far the connection is fine and the network is stable. As I am not a heavy internet user, Smartone is just enough for me as the price is comparatively lower than the others.

Thanks all again.

So it there a method I can check whether I am in a good network or not?

Cos if you just go to their shops, I am 100% sure that the sales would tell you that your home zone has a good network.

As Smartone's modem is ride on their 3G network, why not buy a cheap pre-paid SIM and try to use at your home to see if the coverage is good.

This suggestion is just what I read from magazines, but I think its worth trying if you need to sign a contract.
