A friend did this but in order to have genuine official marriages he simply didn't tell the second country (Canada) he had done it once already.

If you tell officialdom they turn the process into a mountain and you end up with a 'reaffirmation of vows'.

You should get BOTH the sets paperwork (the part that says you are single and able to marry, etc) done at the same time BEFORE you get married so the statements you affirm/swear to with respect to being single are true - on the date that you sign them.
