We are based in Macau and going to Malaysia on holiday. We have flights and insurance through Air Asia but have realised it will not cover us for diving, etc.
Were can I get additional insurance?

Many travel policies have exclusions.
High risk (read high claim) sports are often included.
Another to watch out for are 'unscheduled' transportation links - backpacker type tour (on/off privileges) buses are classed as unscheduled - are frequently excluded as are unlicensed taxis (two or four wheeled), etc.
At least many Chinese bus lines sell mandatory passenger insurance.

I would recommend DAN (Diver Alert Network), Dive specific insurance from the worlds leading body researching dive accidents. Part of the fees also go to the research into accidents, making diving saver for us all.
I worked as a dive guide and have seen their response to accidents (from mild decompression to legs broken while on the dive boat) first hand. Very good no hassle insurance.
