So my girlfriend is moving to HK and we have decided not to ship stuff, but instead to bring all of her personal effects as checked luggage on the plane in several boxes. The overweight charges end up being less than shipping stuff etc.
My only question: will HK customs give a fuss if they see that she is entering on a tourist visa but is clearly coming to settle in? I will be with her and have am a HK resident, but still wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on this...

Thanks for the replies...of course it would be difficult for me to claim that a bunch of female dress shoes are mine...
But otherwise, I tend to believe the risk is minimal, but still nonetheless worth checking with people to see what they think...thanks.
