As netboook is so popular today, just interested to know what criteria will be considered as most important when choosing a netbook? Price? Size? Brand? Spec or etc?

For netbook, weight of course is of most important as I need to carry it with me always. Don't want to carry a "stone" with me everyday. Wahaha~

Be wary of those 'shiny'/reflective screens.

A poor choice can cause endless eye strain.

Get an extended warranty, too.

Netbook should cost less than 3.5K; otherwise, I can get a AMD notebook with other performance. Also if this for mobility, get the netbook with HSPA.

Brand is also an important factor. Be sure to get those reliable brands and the OEM is manufactured by renowned company. This is also a credit to the duarability of the netbook.

Recently, I went through the same process of choosing a notebook for myself. It was that easy in view of the different considerations, including Windows vs Mac, weight, size, easy of use, and more importantly, budget.

Finally I chose a Mac notebook from EpiCentre in ION Orchard in Singapore.

Yes, the price is slightly more expensive than notebook PCs. Nevertheless,

My Mac enables me to run both Windows and Mac operating systems. This is really cool.

The design of my Mac notebook is really nice.

The most important thing is that EpiCentre provides a FREE of charge "Concierge" Service to teach me how to set up the notebook and how to run the different programs. This is very useful.

MAC book is also a good choice, but it depends on whether you are willing to spend a huge amount on a netbook just for daily simple communications.

I am just thinking of the Vodafone netbook. 0$ for sigining a 24 month contract, quite resonable.

The Mac store from Epi Centre is very nice, they have a training room and a lot of space. Macbook is nice, but I will buy another netbook as spare. Macbook is for home, netbook is for outdoor...:-)

Hi all. Finally I was attracted by Smartone's $0 plan and got the Vitesse netbook. After using it for one morning, I am quite happy with it.

One thing I need to point out is that Smartone has generously installed the open office already so I am able to use Word , Excel and Power Point. Good!!
