Just re-applied. If you wait for all country approval its at least 8 weeks. If there are specific countries you need to visit asap you can fill in a form requesting those... depending on which ones you request you can get approval more quickly.

Ed - how long before your card expired did you re-apply? Or did you wait until it expired?

3 years. When it expires you must start the process over again so make sure you re-apply a few months prior to the expiration

Ok, thanks. So my best bet is to re-apply 2-3 months before expiration then. Thank goodness there will be no Olympics - my China approval took 8 months because of that ;)
