Me & my new husband recently moved to HK. He works away several days of the month & I am finding it quite lonely home alone! I am looking to meet new female friends but I'm not quite sure what the best way is to meet people? Do you have any idea's? I've been looking at clubs to join but have no idea where to start. I'm a brit in my late 20's.

The YWCA at McDonnell Road has loads of stuff, classes etc and an At Home course specifically for new arrivals. The AWA (American Women's Assoc) has an open coffee session on Thursday mornings, 10 till noon at the Marriott Hotel coffee shop in Admiralty. It's a mix of new arrivals and old timers who can answer all the questions, and is usually hosted by a really nice Brit called Sally, or an American woman (Susan) who's lovely & both ladies are very welcoming. Real mix of ages and nationalities.
