locked out of my PC -- need a hacker

I stupidly locked myself out of my computer (trying to install parental controls). It's a Dell running on Windows Vista Home Basic. As I cannot seem to get the password right (must have mis-typed it at the time), the only solution I can think of is to get someone to hack into it, but need to find someone familiar with Windows Vista. Any suggestions?

how about a complete reformat of your drive and resetup of windows?


alternatively try logging in with admin as user and a blank password. sometimes this still works depending on setup

you should have the installation cd's with you. just put them in and start up the computer.


however you will lose all data that is currently there!

As cookie09 says you can reinstall Windows and so forth but will lose the data if you just go ahead..


The data is recoverable, however, assuming there is no encryption. Most probably there isn't. You would need to connect the hard drive to another machine and copy your files off.


I can help out with all this stuff. Where are you located?

Reformatting means TOTAL DATA DESTRUCTION.

Thanks for your replies everyone. I actually managed to get into my account yesterday by going into the control panel and logging in from there. Strangely, my password was accepted (same password I've been trying unsuccessfully to log in with on the log in page)

Control panel how? I mean if you weren't logged in how did you get to the control panel?
