Dependant Visa - Second renewal process

I obtained a dependant visa which was initially granted for one year. Then I renewed it for three more years. The process for that was very simple: my wife just had to sign a form saying we were still married and had spent a certain number of days that year in HK. Now I need to renew it again. What is the process this time? Thank you.

Exactly the same process - actually what you are applying for is an extension of stay. Just before the next 3 years is up you'll need to apply for one more extension of stay, then once you are past your seven years with a valid visa in your passport you can apply for PR.

My Visa will expire on December 14, 2009 and I'll be getting my third extension whichI think is 3 years, when can I apply? Can I apply now or need to wait a week before visa expires?

don't wait till a week...IMMD suggests 4 weeks before your current visa expires
