Hello i need to import my classic car to hong kong can anyone tell me what the import/registration tax is like. I have no intentions of selling it, the car has been in the family since 1973 (1963 UK registered car). The car has been registered to my father since 1973 and has only recently been registered in my name. If anyone could be of any help i would be very greatful as this car holds a great deal of sentimental value for me.

Check out the Transport Department website - all the relevant information is there.

I imported a car a few years ago, and used to HKAA to handle all the importation and licensing procedures - well worth it.
