Toilet training

Hi!

I need some advices. My son is 2.5. He goes on he potty for pee no problem but does not want to go for poo. He is then asking for the nappy. I do not want to make him upset while he is still learning for pee, he is not 100% yet dry.

How should I react to encourage him to go on the potty for poo?

Thx a lot for your advices.

- Patience. Eventually he'll do it. All kids have their own pace.

- You sit down on the toilet while he sits on the potty. Leading by example.

Try a sticker reward chart: "If you do a poo in the toilet, then you can stick a sticker onto the chart". Then when he does one, make a big song and dance of letting him choose the sticker and heap on the praise. It worked a treat for my son. It sounds like a long stretch but you will be amazed what children will do for shiny objects.
