Alternative to PCCW / NowTV?

Hi there -- we just moved here from the US a week ago, and I'm trying to get our internet/broadband and TV set up.... Is PCCW the only provider? What do I do if we want to keep up with our horrible US reality TV? Are our kids ever going to be able to watch Sesame Street again?

And lastly, we shipped over our US plasma TVs, which can adapt to the voltage -- but might have a problem with the chipset? I'm so confused.... HELP please :)

P.S. Can I solve all our problems by getting a Slingbox? Also, our main TV has an Ethernet connection, I think -- so can we hook it up to the broadband system and watch TV online?

PCCW is very much in a monopoly in a lot of places. Sorry about that. Your kids may have to survive without Sesame street.

Most modern TVs, including almost all recent plasmas/LCDs can handle both NTSC (US standard), PAL (Euro standard; also HK) and the various HDTV standards. So it should not be an issue. What is the make and model number? I can easily look it up online.

Slingbox: I'm no expert but you can do a lot there. As for having an Ethernet connection, are you really sure (again, what is the model)? I have never heard of such a thing. Certainly I doubt that you can just plug it in without some sort of additional box that provides an interface to Internet based providers.
