Kumon- Is it good for Form 1 students

I would like to ask whether Kumon Maths is good for Form 1 Students. Actually they are not being taught the School Syllabus.. How does it help the students with Maths??

back in the day when i took kumon.....

their idea is to keep giving you problems to complete wiht the hope that the more you practice the quicker you will be. So to start off, they will give the student a test to see what level he/she is at. then they will start will a level lower than that to first build up their basic skills. there's homework to do everyday and they are timed.

i personally didn't think it helped much other than a 'brain training' tool. and i hated it! hahaha.
