I am struggling to find a personal fitness trainer at sensible pricing. In the UK the prices were continuously around £30-35 per hour and if you were a member of a gym it could even be cheaper. Here it seems to start at least at HK$500 and happily goes up to HK$900 (how crazy is that - do I pay more for someone who speaks English?)

Yes, you pay more for someone who speaks English. This is not crazy, you pay for what you get. If you can't afford it - don't buy it and don't complain. Other people can afford the cost and will pay the cost. Simple concept to understand.

As bob the builder says, "sensible" is not an absolute. The market supports current prices.
