Director of company and buying property?

Hope someone can help me on this. My husband and I are looking to buy our first property in HK (we are Brit expats). He is a director of the company he works for. Could anyone make a claim against any property we own in Hong Kong in the future should any financial trouble arise?

We are very anxious about buying our first property and want to cover all situations before making the jump.

Really appreciate any advice.

I posted the question just in case anyone had been in a similar situation. I did call up a lawyer who my husband had met some years ago and he gave us free advice!

no lah; not what i meant.

when you do a property transaction, you will hire a lawyer to do all the documentation and other legal stuff. will cost around 6-12k. you can pre-source the lawyer now and ask him this question.

ask for jason at li & kwok in man yee building. he was excellent for all our (comparable) questions

Thank you for that added comment. We just wanted to know in advance of making an offer on any property.
