hair cutting for 2 year old boy

hi mummies and daddies, my boy has gone two times to barber shop for haircut and he cried non-stop throughout. i decide to cut his hair myself at home ( i used to do that...until recently he keeps moving making it impossible for me to cut. but since he cried badly in barber shop, i tot i might as well do the haircutting myself and let him cry at home).

i want to buy a hair trimmer. i bought ER2405K panasonic (body hair and beard trimmer), which the sales lady told me it can be used for haircut too. i m a bit doubtful now that i bought it home. because it is for body hair and beard, the design is slimmer....will it take too long for me to cut my boy's hair? should i get one design specially for hair, which i am thinking (even to confirm) that 'head' section of the trimmer is probably wider hence allow more hairs to be cut at the same time? but this panasonic i bought, seems very quiet (which is a BIG advantage) as i suspect my boy will not be as scare.

pls advice.

Not to dissuade you from cutting the hair, but you could also try Magic Mirror in Lee Gardens Two. They specialize in children. Little one gets to sit on a horsey and watch Sesame Street or Barney throughout. Toys in the waiting area. Pricey but their haircuts are excellent. Totally worth the money IMHO, especially after some cheap hack butchered my youngest's hair and I got yelled at by wife.
