ESF Teachers

Hi there,

I'm currently working with ESF as a Supply Teacher. I am considering applying for a full-time teaching position, but have some questions. If you work for ESF, could you be so kind as to let me ask a few questions?

1) Are there any professional development days or sessions available for those of us who want to upgrade our skills or knowledge of current practices/philosophies?

2)Do you have any books/courses you could suggest I read so I could better understand the PYP, MYP and IB?

3) Outside of the regular day, is there a required amount of time to be involved in extra-curricular activites and/or to be at the school?

3) How much of an issue is it if you would like to book for a day or two off here and there?

Thank you!!

The school or the ESF office should be able answer the first three- and the fact that are supply teachers suggests that days off are occasionally taken, but I would expect that varies according to school, and you would get a more honest answer fro a teacher than the head!
