we are travelling to Singapore to stay with friends but they have nowhere for baby to sleep and am not too keen on buying a travel cot just for this one trip - is there anyone kind enough to lend me one for a 4 day trip...........??

You can always rent from BabyTown in Singapore, they do delivery. I have rented cots, car seats, high chairs from them and I think their website is www. babytown.com.sg.
