Apart from the asiaxpat website, which newspapers can I place my ads in (English & Chinese)?

Are there any special days for car ads?

You probably would only have to post your ad with us to get your price...

"Just wanted to let you know I've been having great response from Asiaxpat! Far better than the response from SCMP Trading Post! Thanks!" Jeannie, Hong Kong

"I am about to renovate my house and had many bulky items to sell. There's usually not much of a 2nd hand market but I sold most items within half an hour of posting on Asiaxpat. I also managed to sell my yacht through your website - quite unbelievable - I had more hits using your website than I had had using all other means of expensive advertising. I just wanted to thank you for a fantastic and efficient service." Sue Thornton, Hong Kong

"What a great service. We just sold our car at list price in exactly 3 hours. It's the best I have ever seen. Thanks." Mona, Hong Kong

"I sold my wife's Mazda MPV in 3 days and a friends BMW 840 in one day on your website - bloody amazing!! Thanks." Richard, Hong Kong

"I’d often heard that AsiaXpat was the place to sell your car, but certainly was convinced. It took 2 days…all in all, worth the investment I’d say! First place I’ll come in future. Cheers." Bryce, Hong Kong

"I had placed an ad for a classis 1978 Mercedes Benz 280sl - many thanks I had a lot of interest and it sold." Michael S., Hong Kong

"I placed an ad to sell my BMW on the AsiaXPAT Auto Trader and was literally overwhelmed with both telephone and email enquiries from other expats and sold the car within a week. I highly recommend this site to anyone trying to sell a used vehicle!" Niels Bakker, Hong Kong

"Well I sold the car for the full price! The money is in the bank, I had three people that wanted it so I have a little bidding war going on and they all saw the add on you site. So I think you can take the two add off now. Thanks for all your help! Cheers." Nancy, Hong Kong

"We sold our car within half day - please delete the ad. Thank you very much." Olivier P., Hong Kong

I do like to check the car ads here.. What I dont like is when one car disappears from the "owners" part and appears on the "dealers" with a sudden 20% increase and often the dealers just copy/pastes the previous photos!!

Ed's Note - at the end of the day we get the job done whether a dealer buys the car or a private individual... the vendor achieved a sale. As for dealers, virtually every car on a dealers lot was once privately owned so sama sama....

Anyway.. back to the subject. I d also be interested to know what kind of car it is as you do find everything here. From a 3Mios HKD ferrari to a 10k HKD peugeot.

Please refer to rules of use of the site http://hongkong.asiaxpat.com/forums/rules.asp

Sorry accidentally deleted the comment regarding the inability to get the car sold - please advise what type of car it is... we had 550,000 visits on this site last month and the most popular section was the classifieds... I have personally spoken to someone who sold a Ferrari on this site for over 2M....

While we make no guarantees of getting a sale done, the odds are that if you dont get it sold here you wont sell it anywhere else...

Not criticising the website Ed.. Just saying that some dealers aren't afraid the seller might find out he was totally run over by a dealer. They could at least change the photo.

Understood... a similar thing takes place on our DH channel.... most of the agencies use our site to find candidates for their clients because helpers prefer to find an employer without the 'help' of an agency so they post on our site rather than with an agency.

Anyway, I'm interested to find out the type of car that didn't sell on our auto trader....
