Friendship Bracelets for School Unit

ORIGINAL POST

Help! My daughter is doing 'Big Buisness' at school and they need to sell friendship bracelets on their teams stall, so she is looking for a place that sells them cheaply so as the kids can sell them on for a profit.

Thanks so much

Strange that you should mention this. My daughter came home from school yesterday asking if she could have $10 because she wants to get a bracelet at the playground.

She asked if she could have another $10 if she helps me with the housework this weekend because she wants to get another one for her bestfriend.

I wonder if she's talking about the "friendship" bracelet.

I know the article is from the UK's Daily Mail but it's not part of the new craze that I read about is it???

No retscir, this is completely different, have no fear! These are woven ones like you see all over Asia- actually if you ask any kid who's been to summer camp in the USA- or probably any American kid- the idea is that you weave one and give it to your friend as a token of friendship- very innocent. Buying them seems to be a bit of a cheat as they're very easy to make (so my daughter has been telling me since age 6!) & the effort is the whole point...

sistim - yes there the ones. My daughter needs 100 so although she has made some she just doesn't have the time to make anymore. If anyone can help then thanks.

Yikes! Wanchai Market? Sham Shiu Po? Will keep my eyes peeled as I'm often in both places.
